Do I need a referral for an ultrasound-guided steroid injection?

Yes, you will require a referral from a healthcare professional, such as your GP or a consultant for an ultrasound-guided steroid injection. A physiotherapist can refer you for an ultrasound-guided injection on the advice of a radiologist following an initial MRI or ultrasound scan.
