Prime Health is accredited by all of the major private medical insurers and offers a competitive self-pay price.

Making a booking for a diagnostic scan, service or treatment at Prime Health

If you are using private health insurance for medical consultations, diagnostic imaging or therapy services then your insurance company will provide you with a pre-authorisation code. This can be given to us at the time of booking and there will be no need to pay anything on the day.

If you are self-funding for your appointment, charges will be discussed with you at the point of your enquiry and payments will be taken via World-Pay links or over the telephone prior to your consultation.

With regards to specific diagnostic imaging referrals, only a doctor or appropriately qualified clinician (IRMER accredited) can refer you for an x-ray because it requires you to be exposed to radiation.

Paying for treatment at Prime Health

If your treatment is covered by private health insurance, Prime Health will liaise directly with your insurance company if you don’t have a pre-authorisation.

We are able to take payment from all credit and debit cards at our centres except American Express. We also accept payment in cash and by cheque.

Booking an appointment with a private GP at Prime Health Surrey

Our online GP booking service is a convenient way to schedule an appointment. Please click on this link to take you to the page.

If you have booked an appointment with one of our GP’s or an Allied Healthcare Professional (physio, osteopath etc) we will take payment prior to your appointment for the initial consultation.  We will hold your card details securely and charge any additional costs or services 24 hours post attendance.

Please note that the fee for a GP appointment does not cover specialist treatments, diagnostics, or pathology (eg blood tests) which will be charged in addition to your appointment fee.

All fees will be made clear to you before they are incurred. We cannot determine in advance what tests you will need, but if you have any cost concerns during your appointment, please tell your GP and they will explain the costs associated with any tests they may advise you undertake.

If you consent to those tests, our administration team will take payment using the card details you have provided unless you ask us to use an alternate payment method.
