Talking to someone you can trust who can help you learn strategies and coping mechanisms to help manage difficult situations, both now and for the future can be an enormous benefit.

At Prime Health Surrey our expert-led counselling service uses a person-centred approach. It provides you with a safe non-judgemental space in a therapeutic environment where emotions can be explored and personal coping mechanisms developed, to help manage your condition and the challenges you may be facing.

Counselling can help a range of areas, including:

  • A mental health condition such as depression or anxiety
  • A traumatic life event such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown or a stressful time at work
  • A distressing physical health condition

Our counselling service is built on trust, honesty and respect. Whether you require counselling sessions for a short or long period, our counsellor is there to help when you need it. Although we treat every patient uniquely, we initially recommend committing to a minimum of six counselling sessions.

Although you can be referred by your GP, you can also refer yourself for counselling at Prime Health, Surrey. To ensure our service is suitable for you, we offer a complimentary initial assessment call with our counsellor. During this call, our counsellor will discuss the challenges you are facing and advise if you will benefit from counselling.

Appointments

Appointments for an initial assessment with our counsellor is offered remotely and are available at short notice. They are offered at times convenient to you to minimise any disruption to your day.
