Dr Sivanadian Mani-Babu graduated from University College London Medical School in 2005, along with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiology. After completing registrar training in London, he became a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) in 2013.  He sees muscle and joint conditions/injuries in any individual who would like to be more physically active as well as elite athletes and has expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound scanning/ultrasound-guided injection therapy.

Siva is an SEM Consultant for Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest NHS Trust in the UK where he leads an SEM clinic which is also a national centre for dance injuries.  His other current/recent roles include:

  • Club Doctor at Fulham Football Club
  • British Athletics Disability Sport classifier and team physician
  • ATP tennis tournament physician
  • Consultant Appraiser and FSEM Membership Examiner and Question Writer.

He previously worked for Brentford Football Club and also the Ministry of Defence at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court where he was a lead consultant and lead for medical education. Siva also completed a 3-year term as Honorary Secretary for the UK Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine.

Siva has worked at a variety of international Sports Events including the 2020 Paralympic Games Tokyo, 2017 Invictus Games Canada and 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.  He has also worked in a variety of other sports including boxing, judo, basketball, marathon/athletics events and rugby.
