What is a CT Coronary Angiography?
A CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA), sometimes called a cardiac CT, coronary CT or heart CT, is a specialised, non-invasive examination that uses advanced CT imaging and a contrast dye to produce highly detailed 3D images of the arteries supplying blood to your heart. It is recognised as one of the most effective tests for diagnosing or excluding coronary artery disease (CAD), and can identify narrowing or blockages before they become more serious.
Your doctor may recommend a CTCA if you have:

- Symptoms suggestive of coronary artery disease

What happens during your CTCA
