The centre
Stockport is deliberately small, and everything good about it follows from that. You are met by the person who took your booking. You are scanned by a radiographer with the time to tell you what is happening and why. If you have a question afterwards, you ask the person standing in front of you rather than a switchboard.
The scanner is not small. It is a 3T Siemens, the same field strength we run in London and Surrey, so the images are the equal of anything produced somewhere ten times the size.
It is also more complete than its size suggests. Physiotherapy and sports medicine are both on site, so if a scan finds something an injection would help, the injection and the rehabilitation that follows can both happen here, planned by people who have seen the same images.

Every scan is reported by a consultant radiologist. A body part is one area, such as a knee or the lower back; scanning more than one area in the same visit is priced per tier below.
